The Ribbon Blender operates using a horizontal U-shaped trough fitted with inner and outer helical ribbon elements mounted on a central shaft. As the shaft rotates, the outer ribbon moves material in one direction while the inner ribbon moves it in the opposite direction, creating continuous convective mixing throughout the batch.

This counter-flow mixing action ensures rapid blending, efficient material circulation, and uniform distribution of additives across the entire vessel volume.

The machine is designed for low shear powder blending, making it suitable for fragile materials and applications where particle integrity must be maintained.

Optional jacketed construction can be provided for heating or cooling applications depending on process requirements.
